Metton War Memorial

The stone memorial stands just outside the grounds of the church.  It records not only those who dies (3 in WW1 and 1 in WW2), but also those who served (16 in WW1 and 4 in WW2).

Those who died were:

    • Service Number is not stated
    • Died 27 June 1917
    • Aged 23
    • Remembered in Vis-en-Artois British Cemetery
  • Reginald John Blyth   CWGC
    • Who served with 1st Bn., Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)
    • Service Number 10909
    • Died 20 July 1916
    • Age not stated
    • Remembered in Thiepval Memorial
